Union criticises highly paid Lambeth headteachers

A union has criticised the high salaries of some Lambeth headteachers, saying they should not be paid more than the Prime Minister.

The GMB union said Rosendale Primary School headteacher Wendy Jacobs, with a 2009-10 pay packet of £169,443, and headteacher of the Kingswood & Elmwood primary schools federation, Craig Tunstall, with a total pay packet of £151,835, were among four headteachers in Lambeth paid more than £150,000.
