Rea revved up for Silverstone debut (From Staines Guardian)

Epsom’s Gino Rea will make his home debut at Silverstone this Sunday, in the FIM World Supersport race.

The 20-year-old is hitting form at just the right time, having secured a fourth-place finish in the Brno race, Czech Republic two weeks ago.

And he is excited about the prospect of going even better at the Northamptonshire circuit.

“I hope I can continue the progress we have been making. To get my first podium at Silverstone would be a dream come true for me,” he said.

Rea sits seventh in the FIM Supersport World Championships.

Limited-edition Gino Rea T-shirts will be given away at Silverstone on Thursday.

“I designed them myself so I hope you can come along and grab one while they are available,” Rea said.

“The first giveaway will be on Thursday, from 3.35-3.50pm, at the WSB Paddock Show after my interview on stage. Hope to see you there!”

There is free entry to the paddock on Thursday.
